Many years after disappearance of Kashan traditional silk-weaving craft, the knowledge to produce high-quality silk fabrics was almost forgotten. In collaboration with traditional weavers, Ali revived one of the stages of work and promoted the quality of its production gradually and in every order. Now Kashan silk is revived and has found its way back into our collective memory. When people ask me about my profession, they usually continue with, “Do you know about Kashan silk as well?”, and this brings a smile to my soul.

Mythological symbols are the first signs of human thinking and reflection. Beliefs, wishes, hopes, envies and fears are heard in a melody as old as humankind itself. In the Iranian mythology, the battle between good and evil and their companions is very intense and noticeable.
The first man was expelled from Heaven for stealing from the Tree of Life. He discovered the secret of germination and started the era of agriculture; he founded a ceremony to ward off drought and help growth and birth. Soo-va-Shoon [Siavashaan] is a souvenir from those days, meaning Mourning for Siavash.
