roots

Root is the origin of every thing. The basis, the foundation, the core and the originality.
An invisible part that penetrates into the deep. The Root preserves life within and keeps it securely and strongly. Uprooting is destruction and annihilation. Root is known to be the foundation of words as well. The most fundamental unit that carries the meaning. Root is an abstraction. The root of beliefs, The root of history, The root of ethnicities, The root of family, The root of friendship.
And “The Roots” Collectio. Roots, detached from trunks, Solitary trunks, Adjoined trunks, Trunks attached to the root, Roots full of knots, Deep roots, are strong and secure, hoping for growth and sprouts…

Roots that are the sources of growth, undergo erosion and annihilation as well. Erosion is constant disappearance; the process of relocation of something detached from its foundation and moved to another place. Erosion of identities, arts and rituals and forced immigrations are a part of annihilation of roots. In absence of water, there is drought and there is no growth. In the modern world, it is as if everything is dissolved in one another; as if we belong to everywhere, but attached to nowhere; as if the shared root that should have been firmly settled in the ground, is loosened. Everything resembles one another and this resemblance is not a cultural or ethnic commonality, like saying that clothes, languages, architecture or even myths and fables of this or that climate have common roots. Common characteristics have faded. This commonality in today's modern world is just a blind, vain imitation; there is no shared roots. As if the only reason is to constantly
change, to constantly renew; in fact, this constant renewal is one of the characteristics of the modern world. In this constant change, I feel suspended and detached, as if I don't belong… However, I believe by preserving our individual and local characteristics and safeguarding our roots, we can feel attached, while even constantly changing and renewing.
